Healthy Italian Pasta Salad Recipe


  • Water- 2 and ½ cups
  • Salt- ½ tsp
  • Sesame oil- 1 tsp
  • Fusilli pasta- 1 cup

For the dressing:

  • Mayonnaise- 3 tsp 
  • Sesame oil- ½ tsp 
  • Mixed herbs- 1 tsp 
  • Black pepper- ½ tsp
  • Salt- ¼ tsp 
  • Garlic powder- ¼ tsp 
  • Sugar- ¼ tsp 
  • Lemon juice- ½ tsp 
  • Water- If needed

Vegetables and add-ons:

  • Cherry tomatoes- 5-6 c
  • Sweet corn- ¼ cup 
  • Medium onion- 2 
  • Capsicum- 4 tbsp 
  • Cucumber- 1/4 cup 
  • Boiled chickpeas- ¼ cup 


  1. Place a cooking pan on the heat and pour 2 and a half cups of water into it. Add ½ teaspoon salt, 1 tsp sesame oil into the water and let it come to a boil. 
  2. Once the water starts boiling, put 1 cup of Fusilli pasta into it and let it boil well for about 15 mins. Once it’s boiled, strain the water and keep the pasta aside. 
  3. For the dressing, add the mayonnaise, sesame oil, mixed herbs, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, sugar, and lemon juice to a bowl and give it a good mix until all the ingredients are mixed well together. If you need a fluid-like consistency, add little water to it. 
  4. It’s time for all the veggies to be added in a big bowl along with the boiled chickpeas. Now pour the entire dressing on the veggies and add the boiled pasta as well. 
  5. It’s time to give the entire salad a good mix so that the dressing can be smeared with every ingredient. Once it’s mixed well, your Italian salad is ready to be served.
