What foods have very low / zero calories?

Many of the fruits and veggies qualify as “low-cal”. Fruits like Apple, Berries, Lemon, Watermelon and Veggies like Broccoli, Cauliflower, Celery, Cucumber, Spinach, etc. add up to less than 100 calories each. One should especially avoid carbonated beverages with added sugar, and focus on healthier alternatives like herbal teas. Other foods that qualify as “low-cal” include Potatoes, Greek Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, Eggs (especially whites), Onions, Mushrooms, Kidney Beans (Rajma), etc. If you notice, many low-cal options are high in protein content – a win-win situation!
